We’ve been duped! Political deception: One branch, two parties
We have been bouncing from one political ideology to another for over 100 years under the leadership of conservatives or liberals of either Republican or Democrat parties. And yet for over 100 years we have seen the following:
- Increase in size of government
- Decrease in personal liberties
- Increase of national debt
- Decrease in education outcomes
- Declining morality
- Increase in lawlessness
Maybe our "changes" have simply been entirely in the wrong direction. Maybe we haven't changed at all.
To a large degree, America was birthed by a worldview framed under Biblical principles for life. This was the common view held by the Puritans and Pilgrims who came to the shores of America in the early 1600's. In fact, it was these views that provided the basis for the founding of Harvard University in 1636 and nearly all other Ivy League schools.
These are the views of the Protestant Reformation era, the views of early Christianity and indeed, to a substantial degree, the views of Western civilization itself.
But, we’ve been duped in the past 100 years.
