Americans for Prosperity
will see you tomorrow at a

PROTEST
Against a Corrupt Wall Street/ White House/ Durham-Based
Center for Responsible Lending Scheme

Where:  Center for Responsible Lending,  302 W. Main Street, Durham, NC  27701 (parking info below)
When: Wednesday, April 21, 2010 2:30 pm

We need your attendance to send a strong message.
What do we want to accomplish?
1)   Stop the bill creating the Consumer Financial Protection Agency until a full investigation into John Paulson, Goldman Sachs and the Center for Responsible Lending and its lobbying activities have been conducted.
2)   Demand Eric Stein be dismissed from the Treasury Department and barred from any future federal appointment until the investigation has been conducted.
Connect the Dots
Senator Christopher Dodd’s bill creating huge bureaucracy, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, is on a fast track towards passage.
Big government bureaucracy benefits Wall Street Fat Cats and hurts local bankers and the small loan industry.
John Paulson, hedge fund billionaire who recently short-sold the subprime market making a fortune for himself and paid Goldman-Sachs $15 million to help carry out his scheme --  donated $15 million to the Center for Responsible Lending.  Could this be dirty money in North Carolina?
Eric Stein was longtime leader of the Center for Responsible Lending.  Today, Stein sits in President Obama’s Treasury Department in charge of creating the new bureaucracy, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency.
Complaints have been filed with the House, Senate, and the IRS against The Center for Responsible Lending claiming that they may have committed serious violations of Lobbying Disclosure Act.
The Center for Responsible Lending is an ACORN-esque organization.
Are there foxes in the hen house?  Who regulates the regulators?
We will see you tomorrow at the Center for Responsible Lending.
