The American royalty: Congress gives themselves an Obamacare exemption

Did you know the congress regularly exempts themselves from the laws they burden us with?

Maybe the stories about fluoride in the water, chemtrails, vacinations, and food supplements containing things to make the public docile and destroy our brain cells are true, how do we continue to put up with this stuff?

Taxpayers to foot bill for congressional employees' health care...

Anger was already evident as well. Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) tweeted a link to POLITICO’s story Thursday night, with the comment: “Outrageous exemption for Congress.”

Charlie Rangel: Why now? And why won’t this racists be out of a job?

Why is this ok while Don Imus lost his job even after deep, prolonged groveling, Paula Deen is disgraced and out of a job in spite of groveling, Dog the Bounty Hunter was out of a job for months…forced to grovel and do penance, the football player Cooper is in deep sh!t and may lose his job, and countless other white people who’ve suffered grief over the n-word?

Some have even been so bold as to suggest that blacks can’t be racists, only whites can. What a crock!!!

What’s different here is that there is no NAAWP, no white equivalent of the justice brothers ‘Al & Jesse’, i. e., there are no white folks who make their living off of race baiting to raise a stink about this.

The real question is why did he say it and why now? Is this just another part of the planned ‘racial division’ Obama has planned for America spoken of by Andrew Breitbart?

You remember Andrew Breitbart don’t you, the pit bull conservative newsman who dropped dead in the early morning of the very day he had said he was releasing some videos he said were very damaging to Obama. He said those videos showed Obama was all about ‘racial division’ and class warfare.

Is what we are going through right now events either created by the administration or happenstance events that the administration seized upon in order to instigate racial division. They are keeping the Trayvon Martin event strung out with Sharpton and Jackson planning events in hundreds of cities nationwide.

Well, I just saw a report that La Raza is planning events in 350 cities this weekend. Sounds like they are coordinating with the administration and planning on a long hot summer of division, maybe riots, and maybe Obama will have to step in with martial law!

Benghazi ‘phony’ scandal: CIA taking extraordinary measures to silence operatives

There is something very sinister here, something evil! Yes, Obama is involved but something much bigger than Obama is going on in our government!

This is from Breitbart:

Report: CIA Silencing Operatives with Knowledge of Benghazi Operations

by John Sexton 1 Aug 2013

A new report indicates that there were dozens of CIA operatives at the Annex in Benghazi when the nearby consulate was attacked. According to unnamed sources, the CIA is going to extraordinary lengths to keep their operations there a secret.

CNN reports that 35 Americans were in Benghazi during the attack, seven of whom were wounded. One source calls the current effort to silence those with knowledge of what happened that night unprecedented. CIA operatives are reportedly being subjected to frequent, even monthly, polygraph tests to insure they remain silent.

Robert Baer, an analyst with knowledge of CIA procedures, tells CNN "If somebody is being polygraphed every month, or every two months it's called an issue polygraph, and that means that the polygraph division suspects something, or they're looking for something, or they're on a fishing expedition. But it's absolutely not routine at all to be polygraphed monthly, or bi-monthly."

The new revelations are consistent with claims that people with knowledge of what happened in Benghazi were being asked or pressured to sign additional non-disclosure agreements. Rep. Frank Wolf claimed that his office had been told this last month.

The story also refers to behind-the-scenes activity as pure intimidation. One unnamed insider tells CNN " You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation." The goal of the pressure is to prevent anyone from talking to "the media or Congress."

Normally when they say ‘it has nothing to do with…”, it has everything to do with it!

Tennessee newspaper fires editorial editor for anti-Obama headline

Jeff Poor Media Reporter

Earlier this week, President Barack Obama visited Chattanooga, Tenn. as part of his PR blitz on the economy.

But he was greeted with a headline of an editorial in the Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press, “Take your jobs plan and shove it, Mr. President: Your policies have harmed Chattanooga enough.”

The editorial began:

Welcome to Chattanooga, one of hundreds of cities throughout this great nation struggling to succeed in spite of your foolish policies that limit job creation, stifle economic growth and suffocate the entrepreneurial spirit. Forgive us if you are not greeted with the same level of Southern hospitality that our area usually bestows on its distinguished guests. You see, we understand you are in town to share your umpteenth different job creation plan during your time in office. If it works as well as your other job creation programs, then thanks, but no thanks. We’d prefer you keep it to yourself.

Jim Galloway, writing for the nearby left-leaning Atlanta Journal-Constitution, called the headline “hostile” and “rude.”

And apparently that was a step too far for the newspaper’s management.

In a story published on Thursday, the Free Press announced the firing of editor Drew Johnson and called his headline inappropriate.

The headline was inappropriate for this newspaper. It was not the original headline approved for publication, and Johnson violated the normal editing process when he changed the headline. The newspaper’s decision to terminate Johnson had nothing to do with the content of the editorial, which criticized the president’s job creation ideas and Chattanooga’s Smart Grid. The Free Press page has often printed editorials critical of the president and his policies.

The Hypocrisy of the N-word

It’s said “all over the field, on field, in locker rooms”, it’s probably the most used word by far in rap music and black comedy yet in certain situations there is a line drawn in the sand.

I know I’m opening myself up to all kinds of criticisms because I’m white so how can I understand the black perspective. I don’t, I really don’t! It’s just a word!!!

Most of it goes back to something no one that reads this has ever experienced, slavery. Were you ever a slave? I have never owned a slave. I don’t know anyone that has. My parents and their parents were closer to being slaves than owning them. Go back over the history and you will be surprised to find that it didn’t start in America! it didn’t start with negroes!

And there was discrimination where blacks had their places and whites had their places. I can sympathize with the people who had to sit in the back of the bus or had to order their food from the back and not sit in the front of the store. I know how that would have made me feel but we got past that! I don’t think there is a place in America where that happens today.

A white person uses the n-word and it’s a career killer, a black person uses it and it’s a career enhancer, I’m sorry, I don’t get it! It’s just a word!!!

There are some people that don’t like other people, that’s not right but it is their right. You can’t mandate that everybody like everybody. This issue is leading us to accept the idea of ‘thought police’. It’s actually mentioned in the story as something that may be necessary.

And though the Eagles and the NFL were out front of this controversial matter, the league and the Eagles may need to enlist the thought police to find out what really lurks in player’s minds and hearts.

There are not many more things more “1984” than that! My friends on social media know what I mean by that, but I seriously doubt that, with our NEA education system, the future generation will. They will be ready for the ‘chip’, not want a gun, and ‘trust and obey’ the government in all matters small and large.

This player admits that it’s not uncommon for the word to be bandied about but in this case it’s in the guy’s heart because when a person is drunk what they say is really how they feel. Well, I’ve heard that people do and say stupid things they would never do or say sober. What are we to believe?

I know it won’t happen because of Jesse and Al, and Obama and Holder, but wouldn’t it be nice if we would all understand that it’s just a word!!!

And I will probably have my account blocked by Facebook but I must opine that the impression I get from a lot of black entertainers is that a black can say nigger because he is a nigger but a white better not so much as think the word! There, I spelled out the word so fire me!!!

I found this on Drudge:

Suspicious: Number of US Embassies Around the World' to Close Due to 'Security Concerns'

What’s up? I would check to see if there are any anti-terrorism exercises taking place on Sunday, August 4th and if so, where.

There were reports that during the terrorist events in Madrid, London, and New York, anti-terrorism exercises were taking place at the same time in those cities. What a coincidence!

U.S. to 'Close an Unspecified Number of Embassies Around the World' Due to 'Security Concerns'

3:03 PM, Aug 1, 2013 • By DANIEL HALPER

United States will "close an unspecified number of embassies around the world" because of "security concerns," AFP reports. The closures will take place on Sunday.

The wire service adds:

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf on Thursday called the step "precautionary" but declined to specify the threat or list which missions would be closed.

"The Department of State has instructed certain US embassies and consulates to remain closed or to suspend operations on Sunday, August 4," Harf told reporters.

The decision was taken "out of an abundance of caution and care for our employees and others who may be visiting our installations," she said.

Harf said that the embassies would be closed specifically on Sunday, with an assessment afterwards on whether to reopen them.

"It is possible we may have additional days of closing as well," she said.

Harf declined to specify from which part of the world the threat was detected.

And here's the transcript of the State Department's announcement:

Q: There are some, I guess you could call them rumors that I was hoping you could address that some U.S. embassies may be closing or closed?

MS. HARF: Yes. Just one second. So the Department of State has instructed certain U.S. embassies and consulates to remain closed or to suspend operations on Sunday, August 4th. The department has been apprised of information that out of an abundance of caution and care for our employees and others who may be visiting our installations, that indicates we should institute these precautionary steps. The department, when conditions warrant, takes steps like this to balance our continued operations with security and safety.

Journalists reports about how easily Obamaphones are obtained…

She didn’t qualify, didn’t lie about her qualifications, yet received 3 free phones.

This is from the National Review

Me and My Obamaphones

Not on welfare or below the poverty line? Never mind — here’s your free phone.

By  Jillian Kay Melchior

Confession: You’re paying my phone bill.

In the past month, I have received three shiny new cell phones, courtesy of American taxpayers, that should never have fallen into my hands.

The Federal Communications Commission oversees the so-called Lifeline program, created in 1984 to make sure impoverished Americans had telephone service available to call their moms, bosses, and 911. In 2008, the FCC expanded the program to offer subsidized cell-phone service, and since then, the expenses of running the program have soared. In 2012, the program’s costs had risen to $2.189 billion, up from $822 million before wireless carriers were included. As of June, there were 13.8 million active Lifeline subscriptions.

To be eligible for Lifeline, the applicant is supposed to be receiving some significant government benefit — food stamps, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, public housing assistance, etc. But because welfare eligibility has expanded under the Obama administration, more people than ever before are qualified to receive “free” cell-phone service — part of the reason why Lifeline mobiles have become commonly known as Obamaphones. Alternatively, applicants can qualify if their household income is less than 136 percent of the federal poverty line.

But as with any federal program with too much funding, too little oversight, and perverse financial incentives, Lifeline has become infamous for rampant fraud and abuse. There have been news reports about recipients flaunting dozens of subsidized phones. And in February, the Wall Street Journal reported on an FCC audit of the top five Lifeline providers, which found that “41% of their more than six million subscribers either couldn’t demonstrate their eligibility or didn’t respond to requests for certification.”

The FCC supposedly buckled down on eligibility standards last year and established other safeguards aimed at reducing fraud. I was curious about how tough it was to get one of these phones, so last month, I hit the streets of New York. And out of respect for the law and my journalistic integrity, I did not lie to obtain a phone.

Now is the point, I suppose, where I should explain that I really, really shouldn’t have received a single phone. Despite what you hear, not all 20-something writers in the Big City are starving. Given my earnings, even if I were supporting a family of eight, my income would still rule me out. Nor do I receive any type of government benefit. By the Lifeline program’s standards, I am unambiguously ineligible.

My first task was figuring out where to register. The rule of thumb is that wherever you can sign up for food stamps, you can apply for an Obamaphone.

Representatives from SafeLink and Assurance, two of the leading New York Lifeline vendors, stand outside the food-stamp offices, paired like Mormon missionaries, young and polite and earnest. They carry electronic tablets and ask all passersby whether they’ve received their free phone “yet” — as if it were an inevitability.

They approached me for the first time outside the food-stamp office at Tenth Avenue and 216th Street, on the northern tip of Manhattan. The SafeLink vendor, a man probably in his mid 20s, asked me whether I was enrolled in any benefit programs.

“No,” I said, “but I’d certainly like to be. I’m hoping to be.” And indeed, while doing research for another story, I had gone through the motions of applying for New York City welfare, which I also don’t qualify for. I showed him my Human Resources Administration paperwork packet and the case number assigned to me. I reiterated that though I had once applied, I had never been approved for any sort of benefit.

He brought out his electronic tablet immediately to sign me up for phone service. He asked if I had an insurance card, so I pulled out my trusty Blue Cross Blue Shield. He looked at it for a second, puzzled, then asked if I had Medicaid. No, I told him, just private insurance through my work plan.

“Private insurance? What’s that?” he asked, maybe not facetiously. My BCBS card was nevertheless photographed, as well as the first page of my Human Resources Administration paperwork. He asked for my name and my home address, and that was about it. The whole process took less than five minutes, and I had to provide no documentation verifying my income level or (nonexistent) welfare status.

The SafeLink vendor then referred me to his opposite number, a rep from Assurance. She too took down my information, registering me for another Obamaphone.

Traveling to several of the welfare offices in the city, I learned this was common practice. Obamaphone reps come in twos, and both will sign you up if they can.

That’s a very questionable practice, given the Lifeline program’s rules: Each eligible household may receive only one Lifeline subsidy, and obtaining multiple subsidized phones from multiple Lifeline carriers is “a flat-out violation of our rules,” says Michelle Schaefer, an attorney-adviser from the FCC’s Telecommunications Access Policy Division, Wireline Competition Bureau.

Schaefer also tells me that “consumers are, on their applications, required to certify under penalty of perjury that they will only be receiving one Lifeline discount.”

But when I went around New York signing up for multiple phones, I never even saw the applications; SafeLink and Assurance vendors filled out the necessary forms on their tablets on my behalf, clicking through so quickly that it must have been nearly muscle memory. And nobody mentioned perjury.

Granted, the first question the wireless reps asked was usually whether I was already enrolled in the Lifeline program. I told the truth: I had signed up recently, but the phone hadn’t arrived in the mail yet. Almost always, that got me re-entered into the system without hesitation.

When I did receive my SafeLink phone a few days later, I started informing vendors that I did have one Lifeline phone. They assured me that the Lifeline program permitted me to have one phone from each participating wireless provider — which simply isn’t true.

Maybe there’s a disconnect between the corporate offices of wireless providers and their men on the street; a letter I later received from Assurance mentioned that “a household is not permitted to receive Lifeline benefits from multiple providers. Violation of the one-per-household rule constitutes a violation of federal rules and will result in de-enrollment from the Lifeline program and potentially prosecution by the United States government.”

But the wireless providers aren’t doing much due diligence, if my experience is indicative.

At the Union Square location, a SafeLink rep noted that I was already approved for a phone and declined to re-enter my information — but the rep from Assurance, standing only a few feet away, readily signed me up.

At the welfare office on Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn, a vendor hesitated when I told her that I’d already applied but the phone had not yet been delivered. “Surely your system will catch if I’m actually enrolled,” I told her. She shrugged and signed me up once more.

At the DeKalb Avenue office in Brooklyn, when I told the rep I wasn’t receiving welfare, I was signed up for a phone but cautioned that I might well be denied upon secondary review.

And at one Lifeline location in East Harlem, I walked up to the wireless representative talking very loudly on my own smartphone. I hung up only to answer her questions. Now, keep in mind that the program is supposed to provide cell-phone service to people too poor to afford any phone whatsoever — but my application for a subsidized mobile was happily submitted, even as I dinked around very obviously on my existing smartphone.

So here’s the final count: I was able to apply on the street for one SafeLink phone and seven Assurance phones. I received one SafeLink phone and two Assurance phones, no questions asked. For several other applications, Assurance sent me requests for more financial information.

Finally, I received one other letter, full of grammatical errors, informing me that “there is already an Assurance Wireless account established at this address” and requesting further information about my application. I find it curious that Assurance caught a duplicate only once, considering that I’ve got seven entries in their system, and that they have on file my name, address, HRA case number, and, in some instances, photos of my insurance card and driver’s license. SafeLink was slightly better about catching duplications on the street, but it still gave me a phone when it shouldn’t have.

Since receiving my undeserved phones, I’ve repeatedly tried to reach both SafeLink and Assurance press reps for comment, all to no avail. Their corporate offices have sent me the numbers of their customer-service centers, which are easily accessible and happy to offer plan upgrades to Lifeline clients.

Representative Tim Griffin (R., Ark.) has long opposed the Lifeline wireless subsidies, making it a pet cause. He reiterated the basic point I had learned from this experience: The problems began when the federal government got in the business of providing free cell phones, and the FCC’s recent reforms aren’t sufficient.

“I saw all the horror stories of people getting 10, 20, 30, 40 phones,” Griffin says, “the [wireless] companies not paying a lot of attention and in some cases no attention to who was getting them and whether they were getting duplicates.”

And if you’ve been wondering why the companies are so eager to hand out free phones, the incentive is built into the program. As Griffin explains, “Of course, the way the program was set up, [wireless companies] were getting money for every one they could give out, so they gave out as many as they could.”

And still do.

NC’s Burr against defunding ObamaCare

You are dead wrong Sen. Burr, ObamaCare is the 'dumbest idea' ever, not defunding it. If the democrats want to shutdown the government over funding for Obamacare then let them do it. We’ll get through it, we’ll be better for it.

Fool me once! Mr. Burr talked like a duck when he was running for office but has walked like a buzzard since taking office! He was a big talker against Obamacare but it looks like that was more to get votes than to actually fight against it.

This is from The Hill:

Burr: Shutdown over defunding ObamaCare 'dumbest idea' ever

By Daniel Strauss - 07/26/13 07:58 AM ET

Blocking a government funding bill over ObamaCare is "the dumbest idea I've ever heard," Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) said Thursday.

Burr argued stopping ObamaCare's funding is not going to be achievable as long as President Obama is in the White House, and that Republicans risked taking the blame if they forced the government to shut down over the issue.

"I think it's the dumbest idea I've ever heard," Burr told journalist Todd Zwilich on Thursday. "Listen, as long as Barack Obama is president the Affordable Care Act is gonna be law.

"I think some of these guys need to understand that you shut down the federal government, you better have a specific reason to do it that's achievable," Burr continued. "Defunding the Affordable Care Act is not achievable through shutting down the federal government."

Support is building within the House and Senate GOP for using a continuing resolution to fund the government to take a stand on ObamaCare.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has been among the loudest voices arguing Republicans should not fund ObamaCare through a government-funding measure.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) is spearheading the effort and has rallied a number of Tea Party Republicans and members of Senate Republican leadership around the proposal.

House Republicans are also putting pressure on their leaders over the issue.
On Wednesday, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) also expressed opposition to the proposal.
"I think holding the debt limit hostage to any specific thing is probably not the best negotiating place," Blunt said.

Sticks and stones?

When I was a boy in the neighborhood, we would trade name calling one minute and be playing baseball the next. There was nothing earth shattering about being called a cracker or whatever else the black kids called us and it was the same for the black kids.

It was far worse to be called ‘cuss’ words or a chicken, or yellow, or a cheater. But even then it wasn’t that big of a deal. We would respond with “sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me”. And that was that!

My how things have changed.

People are treated worse than criminals today because of saying stupid things. But let’s face it, it only works one way…when a white says stupid things about a black.

You are aware that it goes on on both sides aren’t you? But it’s not a problem when blacks do it to or about whites. When is the last time you remember a black person getting in trouble for insulting a white person?

Take the Rev. Sharpton, or the Rev Farrakhan, or any black comedian, they are famous for their racial remarks but they don’t get in trouble for them, but Paula Deen’s career has been destroyed and ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ only picked up the pieces of his career after years of groveling and doing penance. Here this guy is afraid he will lose his job and be driven out of town because of a stupid word!

Nature shows us that it is natural to be partial to your own kind. Remember ‘Birds of a feather flock together’? Blacks have more in common with other blacks than they do with whites and vice versa, that’s quite natural. There is a cultural difference.

That doesn’t mean that one looks down on the other or thinks they are better than the other, just that they have more in common.

When people go to public places it’s quite natural for them to ‘flock’ together barring something else in common. A black person may enter a public place and see a white person they know and go and sit with them but if not they would probably gravitate towards another black to sit with. Is that not normal, doesn’t that make sense? It’s a question of commonality, not racism!

But, there is an agenda underway to destroy this once great nation and one of the tactics in play is ‘divide an conquer’, add to that the fact that a lot of people make their living off of ‘race baiting’ and you get to where many are today, at each others throats.

Many in power in our government and powerful international figures are furiously working together to create racial and class warfare among Americans in order to tear this nation apart in order to create the ‘new world order’.

Philadelphia Eagles' Riley Cooper apologizes for racial slur

PHILADELPHIA Saying he was "ashamed and disgusted" with himself, Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper apologized repeatedly for making a racial slur at a Kenny Chesney concert that was caught on video and led to him getting fined.

The video of Cooper using the N-word surfaced Wednesday on the Internet. Cooper issued a statement of apology then met with reporters outside the team's practice facility.

"This is the lowest of lows," Cooper said. "This is not the type of person I want to be portrayed as. This isn't the type of person I am. I'm extremely sorry."

Cooper said he was drinking when he directed the slur at an African-American security guard at the concert in June.

"That's no excuse for what I said. I don't use that term," he said. "I was raised better than that. I have a great mom and dad and they're disgusted with my actions."

Cooper said he was fined a significant amount of money by the Eagles.

"We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper's words," Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said. "This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident."

The league released the following statement: "The NFL stands for diversity and inclusion. Comments like this are wrong, offensive, and unacceptable."

Will Brinson of CBSSports.com wrote: "It's a full-blown disaster for Cooper, who cannot possibly justify his use of that language. I don't know anything about Cooper's personal beliefs but it's hard to imagine this would go over well in the context of a professional setting as intense and intimate as an NFL locker room."

A fifth-round pick out of Florida, Cooper is entering his fourth season in the NFL. He has 46 catches and five touchdowns in three years with the Eagles.

Cooper had tentatively moved into a starting role after Jeremy Maclin tore his right ACL in practice last Saturday. Still, he's not guaranteed a roster spot in Chip Kelly's new offense.

"I'm willing to accept all consequences," Cooper said. "I know no one in Philadelphia is happy with me right now. I accept that. I hope they see the true me and accept my apology. I know it will take a while."

Cooper apologized to teammates after talking to the media.

"As a team we understood because we all make mistakes in life and we all do and say things that maybe we do mean and maybe we don't mean," quarterback Michael Vick said. "But as a teammate I forgave him. We understand the magnitude of the situation. We understand a lot of people may be hurt and offended, but I know Riley Cooper. I know him as a man. I've been with him for the last three years and I know what type of person he is. That's what makes it easy, and at the same time, hard to understand. But easy to forgive him."

Vick also rebuked his brother, Marcus Vick, for profanity-laced tweets, including one offering a $1,000 bounty for any player who lays Cooper out in a game. Marcus Vick later deleted all the tweets.

"To address my brother's situation and what he's saying, I don't think it's really relevant," Vick said. "You can't allow yourself to be encumbered in what's going on. I don't agree with what my brother is saying. Riley is still my teammate and he just stood in front of us and apologized for what he said. Somewhere deep down you've got to find some level of respect for that. To people in the outside world who don't know how we're dealing with it, they're going to forge their own opinions, but my brother has to not show a certain level of ignorance himself."
