After the democrats punted last years budget, even though it’s required by law, the republicans submit one that actually deals with our financial crisis. The democrats will naturally oppose it, they don’t want to rescue the US economy!

McDonald's Corp. will hold its first national hiring day April 19 to fill 50,000 openings at its restaurants nationwide. The company, based in Oak Brook, Ill., says it is making a concerted effort to add staff as its business improves and as more of its restaurants stay open 24 hours a day.

McDonald's is hiring restaurant crew and management for full-time and part-time positions. The company's hiring goal translates to between three and four new hires per restaurant.

Turnover slowed in the past few years because of the weak economy, the company says. McDonald's sees this event an opportunity to attract employees in a tough job market.

It is also trying to shed the negative connotation of employment at the fast-food chain, once dubbed "McJobs." About half of its franchisees and more than 75 percent of its managers started as store workers.

"A McJob is one with career growth and endless possibilities," the company said in a statement.

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Treasury has released a final statement for the month of March that demonstrates that financial madness has gripped the federal government.

During the month, according to the Treasury, the federal government grossed $194 billion in tax revenue and paid out $65.898 billion in tax refunds (including $62.011 to individuals and $3.887 to businesses) thus netting $128.179 billion in tax revenue for March.

At the same time, the Treasury paid out a total of $1.1187 trillion. When the $65.898 billion in tax refunds is deducted from that, the Treasury paid a net of $1.0528 trillion in federal expenses for March.

The Former CIA Counter-terrorism analyst Michael Scheuer strongly opposed the Obama's administration actions in Libya on CNN this morning. Scheuer believes that there isn't a strong case for America's intervention especially at a time when the country hasn't even recovered from the recession. Also, Scheuer had doubts if the rebels that we are arming would really be any better than the Gadaffi regime: "I'm not sure that that the opposition, if it takes power, is going to be much better than was Gadaffi." Moreover, Scheuer argues that the US involvement in Libya would serve as a recruitment tool for extremists. "In the muslim world, this is Americans killing Muslims again, and it looks like its for oil."

Scheuer also suggested the rationale behind US involvement in yet another war "at a time when we're nearly bankrupt." to which the CNN host, Christine Romans, expressed disagreement suggesting that Libya and US economy are two distinct issues. Scheuer protested "they are not separate issues, ma'am, you're just carrying the water for Mr. Obama."
