State elections officials -- not the U.S. Congress -- had the duty to verify Mr. Obama's eligibility

California election officials shirked their duty to examine Barack Hussein Obama's eligibility for the office of President during the 2008 Presidential election campaign.  And Ambassador Alan Keyes is teaming with the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) to undo the damage and to make sure that it doesn't happen again!
In a damning brief recently filed by USJF with the California 3rd District Court of Appeal, Dr. Keyes rightly argues that state elections officials -- not the U.S. Congress -- had the duty to verify Mr. Obama's eligibility for the 2008 presidential ballot.
And friends, please note that this brief, before the California Third District Court of Appeal, is in addition to the brief that we just filed with the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal!
Mr. Keyes, a 2008 Presidential candidate, who knows well our nation's history and heritage, stands firm by insisting that an earlier dismissal of the California case ignored significant legal precedents:
The USJF brief cites how California election officials previously removed from the ballot a nominee for President because he did not meet the U.S. Constitution's eligibility requirements.
And get this: in another legal precedent, a court actually removed a state's sitting Governor from office for not being eligible, after he was elected!

Congress Seeks to put Dietary Supplement Makers in Jail for Ten Years!

Pharmaceutical companies are once again interfering with your ability to access information about dietary supplements.

The Senate is debating a bill that will enable the FDA to put vitamin supplement makers in jail for ten years if they cite findings from peer-reviewed published scientific studies on the label of their dietary supplements or their Web site.

The pretext for these draconian proposals is a bill titled the Food Safety Accountability Act (S. 3767). The ostensible purpose of the bill is to punish anyone who knowingly contaminates food for sale. Since there are already strong laws to punish anyone who commits this crime, this bill serves little purpose other than enriching pharmaceutical interests.

The sinister scheme behind this bill is to exploit the public’s concern about food safety. Drug companies want to convince your Senators that an overreaching law needs to be enacted to grant the FDA powers to define “food contamination” any way it chooses.

Even today, the FDA can proclaim a dietary supplement as “misbranded” even if the best science in the world is used to describe its biological effects in the body. The concern is that the FDA will use the term “misbranded” in the same way it defines “adulterated” in order to jail dietary supplement makers as if they were selling contaminated food.

Only Hawaii was sent a document from Nancy Pelosi certifying that BHO was "constitutionally eligible" to run for president. Apparently, this fact has been well documented. Copies of official DNC documents now show that it was Hawaii's local Democratic Party that refused to include the certification of eligibility originating from Pelosi. Beijing firm investigated for running 'black jail'

BEIJING — Police are investigating a Beijing security company linked to the unauthorized but lucrative practice of holding citizens in so-called 'black jails,' or illegal detention centers, according to state media.

The official China Daily reported Monday that police have detained Zhang Jun, the chairman of Beijing-based Anyuanding Security and Prevention Technical Support Service, and his general manager Zhang Jie for 'illegal detention and unlawful operation.' It did not say when the two men were taken into custody.

The company was profiled in a hard-hitting expose this month by the Chinese financial magazine Caijing, which described the practice of illegally locking up citizens to prevent them from filing formal complaints with the central government. The magazine said the company reportedly earned 21 million yuan ($3.1 million) in revenue in 2008.

Anyuanding agents dressed in police-like uniforms would grab petitioners off the streets of Beijing and other cities and forcibly hold them in hotels or rented houses, often physically mistreating them as well, the magazine said.
