Part of the Yalta Agreement between the Big Three ? Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill ? involved the repatriation of Russians to their respective homelands where they were either immediately executed or sent to die in the Gulag.

Family trees can be misleading. According to the Jewish religion, in order to be a Jew one must be able to trace one's Jewish lineage down through the maternal line. That does not determine how people react when they find out that they have "Jewish blood" in them. Genetically, it is an absurd way to trace descent, but we are talking religion here, not science.
