I strongly suspected this: Lesléa Newman, born in 1955 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American author and editor. She is Jewish, a feminist and lesbian.^[1]



The 'Learned Elders' said one of their strategies was to destroy the morals, especially of the youth.

Author Leslea Newman of Holyoke, Mass., wrote the book "Heather Has Two Mommies" 25 years ago about a little girl named Heather and her lesbian mothers that became a cultural and legal flashpoint. Newman has updated the book with fresh illustrations from a new artist.
