GVF -- A great number of students at Shahid Beheshti University have been summoned by the disciplinary committee of the University for protesting against an unannounced visit by Ahmadinejad to their university.
On 10 May, students at the university who had learned about Ahmadinejad’s visit quickly mobilised a great number of students to protest the unannounced visit at the university’s main square.
According to the Jaras opposition website, many students have been summoned to the Shahid Beheshti University’s disciplinary committee, some for charges unrelated to the protest. However, their fellow students are currently weighing up different available options on how best to respond to the latest summoning.
It should be noted that immediately after the protests against the Ahmadinejad’s visit on 10 May, twenty students from the university were summoned to the Intelligence Ministry.
