Since the Obama, Pelosi, Reid health care debacle was signed into law, at least fourteen states have joined a lawsuit against the overhaul, arguing that the law’s requirement that individuals buy health insurance is unconstitutional. This is a huge step in the continuing fight against the government takeover of health care and the preservation of our individual liberties.
This lawsuit is the latest in the growing fight against the encroachment of government in the states where three dozen legislatures are considering bills aimed at blocking parts of the health care bill, not to mention the groundswell of opposition against those who voted for it.
FreedomWorks has pledged to continue the fight against ObamaCare, in the courts, states, and at the ballot box. Please make plans to join us in Raleigh on April 6 for a rally and press conference where we will urge Roy Cooper, our attorney general, to sign onto the lawsuit, or file his own like neighboring Virginia attorney general Ken Cuccinelli did earlier last week.
Here are the details:
When: April 6, 2010, 8:30 am
Where: Halifax Mall, Raleigh (outside the General Assembly Legislative Building)
Key Note Speakers: Cherie Berry, Commissioner of Labor and Steve Troxler, Commissioner of Agriculture
Transportation: Buses are being coordinated by our friends We the People NC for those WEST of Wake County and by the Informed Voters of NC for those EAST of Wake County. Please visit their websites for details.
Please note that poles are not allowed on Halifax mall, including flag poles or signs attached to poles.
The fight is far from over. We need to urge our officials to stand up for us and our state. Come to Raleigh April 6 for our rally and press conference to ask Attorney General Roy Cooper to stand up for North Carolina and join the lawsuit against unconstitutional individual mandates.
And if you haven't made plans to do so already, please join us in Washington, DC on April 15 as we rally across from the White House in the shadow of the Washington Monument to show our leaders that we aren't going away any time soon.
Please invite your friends and see you in Raleigh!
Sincerely,
Allen Page

Professor James Lovelock, the scientist who developed Gaia theory, has said it is too late to try and save the planet.
Lovelock: 'We can't save the planet’ Click here for story & video
Scientists, he says, have moved from investigating nature as a vocation, to being caught in a career path where it makes sense to "fudge the data".
The man who achieved global fame for his theory that the whole earth is a single organism now believes that we can only hope that the earth will take care of itself in the face of completely unpredictable climate change.
Interviewed by Today presenter John Humphrys, videos of which you can see below, he said that while the earth's future was utterly uncertain, mankind was not aware it had "pulled the trigger" on global warming as it built its civilizations.
'We're not really guilty. We didn't deliberately set out to heat the world'
What is more, he predicts, the earth's climate will not conveniently comply with the models of modern climate scientists.
As the record winter cold testifies, he says, global temperatures move in "jerks and jumps", and we cannot confidently predict what the future holds.
'The world doesn't change its climate conveniently'
Prof Lovelock does not pull his punches on the politicians and scientists who are set to gain from the idea that we can predict climate change and save the planet ourselves.
Scientists, he says, have moved from investigating nature as a vocation, to being caught in a career path where it makes sense to "fudge the data".
USA Today/Gallup Poll: Almost Two-Thirds of U.S. Oppose Health Law
By: Dan Weil
Almost two-thirds of Americans believe the new healthcare law is too expensive and gives too much authority to the government for healthcare, according to a USA Today/Gallup Poll.
That could be bad news for Democrats in November’s congressional elections.
Supporters "are not only going to have to focus on implementing this kind of major reform," Robert Blendon, a Harvard professor of health policy and political analysis, told the paper.
"They're going to have to spend substantial time convincing people of the concrete benefits of this legislation."
Poll respondents are worried that the reform package will cost them more while lessening their quality of care.
Even President Obama has acknowledged problems on the cost front. "We are still going to have adjustments that have to be made to further reduce costs," he said Tuesday on NBC’s Today,
To some extent, poll respondents have contradictory views of the new legislation. A plurality believes the law will generally improve healthcare coverage and the overall health of Americans.
But 65 percent say the government’s role in healthcare is being expanded too far, 64 percent say the program will cost the government too much, 58 percent say it doesn’t do enough to brake rising costs and 51 percent say it doesn’t do enough to regulate the healthcare industry.
Half of respondents in the March 26-28 poll say the law is “a bad thing,” while 47 percent view it as “a good thing.”
That’s a shift from a poll March 22 — one day after the House approved the legislation — in which supporters outnumbered opponents 49 to 40 percent.
A Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted March 23-26 produced mixed results for Democrats.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s approval rating dropped to 29 percent from 35 percent in January.
But approval of Obama’s handling of healthcare reform rose to 48 percent from 43 percent.

A true leader of a country!
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'
'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the Language!'
'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'
'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.'
'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE.. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Beware the ‘false flag’ operations
“the real name of Hitler's Nazi party was the National Socialist German Workers Party”
Violence: the Democrats' Reichstag fire
By Wes Verno
Fake anger and indignation are the oldest weapons in the Marxist arsenal. And the Marxists now running the Washington show are following the "Reichstag fire" strategy: Seize on a momentary outrage — magnify it, blame it on the enemy even in the absence of evidence, and use it as a distraction from what you yourself are doing.
Adolf Hitler used that ploy in the early days of his regime when a man-caused fire spread through the Reichstag building that housed Germany's parliament. A lone Dutch insurrectionist was found inside the building, and that was used to conflate the arson to a massive conspiratorial plot by Hitler's enemies to overthrow the government. Thus did Hitler "rally the troops" and consolidate his power.
And always remember — as the Obama-Reid-Pelosi cabal and its fellow oppressives strive mightily to erase from our historical memories — that the real name of Hitler's Nazi party was the National Socialist German Workers Party.

Obama's White Flight Problem
According to Gallup, Mr. Obama is losing ground among people earning between $24,000 and $60,000 per year (currently at 50 percent approval - even lower at higher income levels); college graduates (48 percent approval); political independents (43 percent approval); older Americans, especially senior citizens (40 percent approval); and married couples (40 percent approval). These are the bedrock middle-class demographics, and represent people who increasingly recognize the existential threat Mr. Obama poses to their pocketbooks and to American core values.

The President was said to have walked out of the meeting, saying to Mr Netanyahu: 'Let me know if there is anything new'
For a head of government to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of. Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip viewed in Jerusalem as a humiliation.

New World Order and Obamacare: On the political stage the players stick to the script
Who Lost Healthcare?
The sad thing is, most conservatives actually think American politics is a real contest between different visions and alternative practical courses for America. Au contraire. Politics in America today is between two Establishment political parties that need each other as foils—gotta’ have that “bad guy”—egged on by the mouth-radio carnies. The dirty little secret is most of the participants fundamentally agree on the need or the practical necessity of perpetuating and growing the welfare/warfare state. They differ only in degree, not kind.

Will US be on the hook for the Greeks bailout
Beware of Greeks Bearing Bailout Plans
by Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)As the Greek Debt Crisis continues, President Obama needs to stand firm: American tax dollars should not be used to bail out Greece – or any country – that engages in reckless government spending and deficits. And yet, a bailout paid for by U.S. taxpayers remains a real possibility.
This week, leaders of the European Union will be meeting to consider aid for Greece. But instead of using their own money to bail out Greece, it’s more likely the EU will adopt Germany’s proposal to use money from the International Monetary Fund. That way U.S. taxpayers – not just the European Union – will be on the hook for an international bailout.
U.S. tax dollars already pay for 17% of the IMF’s liquidity. And any bailout by the IMF would have to be approved by the U.S. government. According to the IMF’s rules, major decisions require an 85% supermajority. And the U.S. is the only country with the power to block a supermajority on its own.
Therefore, President Obama has the power to either approve or reject a bailout of Greece. So far, he has been quiet. But instead of waiting while storms gather, the President should be vocal that U.S. taxpayers will not bail out Greece. The European Union may be tempted to pass the buck to the U.S. by requesting IMF “help.” If the Presidents tells them ahead of time that such “help” will not be forthcoming, he will make it more likely that the E.U. will meet its responsibilities.
One note however: While Greece has been fiscally irresponsible, America hasn’t been much better. Greece’s national debt equals 113% of its GDP. By comparison, America’s national debt equals 64% of GDP, although it’s expected to grow to almost 100% in the next 10 years. Do we want to become like Greece? And if we do, who will bail out America? Let’s hope that’s a question we never know the answer to.
In the meantime, let’s be clear: If President Obama is considering bailing out Greece, American taxpayers need to send him a message. And our message is: “Just Say No.”
Health Care Law Signals US Empire Decline?
There’s one thing wrong with this theory…the public was against it! It only passed because of lawlessness and bribery and coercion by the democrats!
The passage of the health care law shows that the US empire is declining because it illustrates the fact that people expect the state to take care of them, David Murrin, the co-founder of Emergent Asset Management hedge fund manager, told CNBC.
Paris scraps carbon tax plan
Franks rebel against environmental tax
The French government on Wednesday said it would abandon its plan to introduce a carbon tax on domestic energy and road fuels unless there was agreement for a European Union-wide levy.
The U-turn on the controversial environmental tax come two days after the governing UMP party of President Nicolas Sarkozy suffered a heavy defeat in regional elections. Senior UMP politicians have blamed the defeat in part on the proposed tax, which was due to come into effect on July.
François Fillon, prime minister, told a meeting of centre-right parliamentarians that France would not penalise its industry by introducing the tax unilaterally.

Mother furious after in-school clinic sets up teen's abortion

SEATTLE -- The mother of a Ballard High School student is fuming after the health center on campus helped facilitate her daughter's abortion during school hours.
The mother, whom KOMO News has chosen to identify only as "Jill," says the clinic kept the information "confidential."
When she signed a consent form, Jill figured it meant her 15 year old could go to the Ballard Teen Health Center located inside the high school for an earache, a sports physical, even birth control, but not for help terminating a pregnancy.
"She took a pregnancy test at school at the teen health center," she said. "Nowhere in this paperwork does it mention abortion or facilitating abortion."

Venezuela holds Chavez critic for "conspiracy"

CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan authorities have jailed a former state governor and presidential candidate who accused President Hugo Chavez's government of links to subversive groups in Latin America.
The detention of Oswaldo Alvarez Paz, a veteran with the opposition COPEI party but not one of Chavez's most prominent foes, will fuel criticism that the Venezuelan leader is taking his nation down an increasingly dictatorial route.
Alvarez joins a list of several dozen Chavez opponents now in jail, living in exile or facing probes in the South American oil-producing country.
With the political atmosphere heating up before legislative elections in September -- seen as a barometer for a 2012 presidential vote -- Chavez says his opponents are increasingly breaking laws in their desperation to topple him.
ABC taps anti-Semite Christiane Amanpour for Sunday morning news-talk show ‘This Week’
ABC's choice of Amanpour for 'This Week' has critics inside the network and beyond
If being the moderator of "This Week," ABC's Sunday morning news-talk show, required Senate approval, then journalist Christiane Amanpour -- recently named by ABC News President David Westin to take over the job -- would already be in big trouble.
In a way, Amanpour, scheduled to leave CNN after 18 years of international coverage and take over the program in August, could be seen as the opposite of the perfect candidate. "This Week" deals mainly in domestic politics and inside-the-Beltway palaver, an area where Amanpour is widely considered to deficient. Consider: Whenever CNN has thrown one of its big election-night, convention, or presidential debate spectaculars, drafting nearly every living staff member to appear, Amanpour has had a conspicuously low profile.
And even though Amanpour has often been touted for her expertise on foreign affairs, she has vocal and passionate critics in that arena as well. Supporters of Israel have more than once charged Amanpour with bias against that country and its policies. A Web site devoted to criticism of Amanpour is titled, with less than a modicum of subtlety, "Christiane Amanpour's Outright Bias Against Israel Must Stop," available via Facebook.

Intel briefs: China's resource stranglehold on ‘rare earth’ minerals
Key 'rare earth' ingredients being consolidated under red banner
Chinese efforts to secure control of the world's limited resources of strategic materials have made the U.S. defense industry increasingly dependent on the communist nation to keep many U.S. weapons systems operational, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
The U.S. Departments of Defense and Energy intend to develop a strategic plan to cope with the national security implications of China's dominance of the global supply.
For some time, China has undertaken an aggressive effort to acquire access to limited strategic rare earth minerals in Africa and Latin America.

Al Sharpton: 'The American Public Overwhelmingly Voted for Socialism When They Elected President Obama'
Some of the American people probably thought they were voting for hope and change when they voted for President Barack Obama on Nov. 4, 2008. But according to Rev. Al Sharpton, they were voting for socialism.
Sharpton, the founder of the National Action Network and talk radio host told Fox News on March 21, during their special coverage of the House of Representatives' passage of health care reform legislation, this victory for President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would begin "transforming" the country.
"I think that the president and Nancy Pelosi get credit," Sharpton said. "I think this began the transforming of the country the way the president had promised. This is what he ran on."
And if that transformation is socialism, then so be it, he explained. That is what the American public "overwhelmingly" voted for. More>>
‘Warrantless’ SWAT Team ‘persuades’ man to submit to a 5:50am mental health evaluation
Oregon Pre-Crime Unit Successfully Prevents Future Crime
Oregon has taken a step into a bright new future after a man was detained at gunpoint by two SWAT teams on suspicion that he might commit a crime at some point in the future.
David Pyles woke up at 5.50 am in the morning to a call from SWAT telling him that they had his house surrounded. When he looked out the window, the men with guns pointed at his house verified this fact. The officer on the phone told him to turn himself in, and David complied after agreeing with the officer that he would not be handcuffed, taken off his property or turned into mental health services.
When David stepped outside, he was jumped by several officers, promptly handcuffed, removed from his property and forced to have a mental health evaluation. He was released that afternoon, after being declared mentally stable.
What had David done to deserve such treatment? Nothing. David has no prior criminal record and there is no evidence that he was planning anything untoward. David had however been recently put on administrative leave from his job, was subsequently observed being 'disgruntled' and recently legally purchased a few firearms.
That alone was enough for the police to bypass search and arrest warrants arrest warrants or consulting with a judge or mental health professional. “We took a proactive approach,” the police explained.
What's frightening about this is that the police are in fact, legally allowed to detain any member of the citizenry at gun point and 'persuade' them to 'voluntarily' submit to a mental evaluation. There need be no evidence against a person, apparently exercising the right to bear arms the right to bear arms and being a bit on the tetchy side is grounds enough to have a SWAT team deployed to your home in the wee hours of the morning.
Because David was never officially arrested, and because he 'voluntarily' agreed to leave his home, the matter was deemed civil and therefore, not a criminal matter which would have required a warrant. (How voluntary is anything when men in bullet-proof armor are pointing guns at you is a matter still open to debate.)
How glorious. Not only does Oregon boast a shiny new pre-crime unit, this unit apparently also operates entirely independently of the judicial system. Guys with guns can show up at anyone's door, anytime and 'persuade' them to submit to mental evaluation.
Now that's what I call freedom.

Americans Say US Has Lost Global Standing Under Obama
Poll: US Has Lost Global Standing Under Obama
A majority of Americans say the United States is less respected in the world than two years ago and believe President Obama and other Democrats fall short of Republicans on the issue of national security, according to a poll by two left-leaning groups.
The Democracy Corps-Third Way survey released Monday finds that by a 10-point margin — 51 percent to 41 percent — Americans think the standing of the United States has dropped during the first 13 months of Mr. Obama's presidency.
"This is surprising, given the global acclaim — and Nobel peace prize — that flowed to the new president after he took office," the pollsters said.

States and advocacy group sue over Obamacare
13 attorneys general sue over health care overhaul
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Attorneys general from 13 states sued the federal government Tuesday, claiming the landmark health care overhaul is unconstitutional just seven minutes after President Barack Obama signed it into law.
The lawsuit was filed in Pensacola after the Democratic president signed the 10-year, $938 billion bill the House passed Sunday night.
"The Constitution nowhere authorizes the United States to mandate, either directly or under threat of penalty, that all citizens and legal residents have qualifying health care coverage," the lawsuit says.
Legal experts say it has little chance of succeeding because, under the Constitution, federal laws trump state laws.
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is taking the lead and is joined by attorneys general from South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Utah, Pennsylvania, Alabama, South Dakota, Idaho, Washington, Colorado and Louisiana. All are Republicans except James "Buddy" Caldwell of Louisiana, a Democrat.
Some states are considering separate lawsuits — Virginia filed its own Tuesday — and still others may join the multistate suit. In Michigan, the Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, a Christian legal advocacy group, sued on behalf of itself and four people it says don't have private health insurance and object to being told they have to purchase it.

How much is the interest on the United States’ National Debt?
National Debt Service
How much is our National Debt Service? Stated another way, how much is the interest on the United States’ National Debt?
In the fiscal year ended September 30, 2009, the interest on the national debt was $383 billion, making Interest Expense one of the largest components of the federal budget. In fact, interest on the national debt accounted for over 27% of our 2009 federal budget deficit. That’s a lot of “National Debt Service”, but it could have been much worse.
National Debt Increase by President
The National Debt by President
There seems to be a lot of debate around the water cooler and the dinner table as to which President is most responsible for the increase in the National Debt. In this article, I’d like to take a look at the growth in the National Debt by President using an unbiased approach. This analysis uses National Debt figures from the U.S. Treasury Department and the White House Office of Management and Budget.
To be sure, there is plenty of blame to go around for the uncontrolled growth in the National Debt. For this analysis, I’ve begun with Ronald Reagan’s first term and followed it through the first year of Barack Obama’s administration. No effort has been made to cast any particular President in a favorable or unfavorable light.
The numbers below do NOT reflect the actual National Debt. Instead, they reflect the amount of the INCREASE in the National Debt during each presidential term.
> Ronald Reagan’s First Term – $656 billion increase
> Ronald Reagan’s Second Term – $1.04 trillion increase
> George H.W. Bush’s Term – $1.59 trillion increase
> Bill Clinton’s First Term – $1.12 trillion increase
> Bill Clinton’s Second Term – $418 billion increase
> George W. Bush’s First Term – $1.88 trillion increase
> George W. Bush’s Second Term – $3.01 trillion increase
> Barack Obama’s First “Year” – $1.57 trillion increase
> Obama’s projected First Term – $6.29 trillion increase

Had Enough Yet? Kill the Bill: Invoke the 10th!
Rob Natelson's Advice: How to Save the Constitution
"Whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force"
--Thomas Jefferson
Nullify the Bill: Invoke the 10th!
by Brian Roberts
The federal government takeover of the health care industry and your loss of medical freedom only lacks a Presidential signature to become a federal law. We the people know that this cannot stand if America is to remain a free country. Keep your head up, it is time to invoke the 10th and kill this bill and the others soon to follow once and for all.
From here on, resolve will be the key. Not just your resolve, but the resolve of the rest of the citizens in your state. So it’s our responsibility to educate neighbors and make sure the right state representatives are in place.
In order for us to reset this country and return to spending time with our businesses, families and hobbies; we must again in no uncertain terms confirm the revolutionary message that the people are the source of power. The federal government must fear the people, and the state governments are the legal method in which to achieve this goal. Jefferson clarified the goal:
“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
Ignore the Feds, Empower the States.

University of Ottawa attempts to censor Ann Coulter
Ann Coulter visit sets off furor...

Email that set things off...
--------- Forwarded message----------------
From: Francois Houle <fhouleguottawa.ca> Date: Fri, Mar 19, 2010 at 4:28 PM
Subject: Please forward the following message to Ms. Coulter
Dear Ms. Coulter,
I understand that you have been invited by University of Ottawa Campus Conservatives to speak at the University of Ottawa this coming Tuesday. We are, of course, always delighted to welcome speakers on our campus and hope that they will contribute positively to the meaningful exchange of ideas that is the hallmark of a great university campus. We have a great respect for freedom of expression in Canada, as well as on our campus, and view it as a fundamental freedom, as recognized by our Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I would, however, like to inform you, or perhaps remind you, that our domestic laws, both provincial and federal, delineate freedom of expression (or 'free speech") in a manner that is somewhat different than the approach taken in the United States. I therefore encourage you to educate yourself, if need be, as to what is acceptable in Canada and to do so before your planned visit here. You will realize that Canadian law puts reasonable limits on the freedom of expression. For example, promoting hatred against any identifiable group would not only be considered inappropriate, but could in fact lead to criminal charges. Outside of the criminal realm! Canadian defamation laws also limit freedom of expression and may differ somewhat from those to which you are accustomed. I therefore ask you, while you are a guest on our campus, to weigh your words with respect and civility in mind. There is a strong tradition in Canada, including at this University, of restraint, respect and consideration in expressing even provocative and controversial opinions and urge you to respect that Canadian tradition while on our campus. Hopefully, you will understand and agree that what may, at first glance, seem like unnecessary restrictions to freedom of expression do, in fact, lead not only to a more civilized discussion, but to a more meaningful, reasoned and intelligent one as well.
I hope you will enjoy your stay in our beautiful country, city and campus. Sincerely,
Francois Houle

Ships skirt Calif. coast to avoid pollution rules
Cargo ships are avoiding the California coast because of tightened air pollution rules, causing problems for Navy missile tests.
California Air Resources Board rules that went into effect last summer mandate that ships within 24 miles of the coast burn cleaner fuel. As a result, ships are staying farther at sea so they can burn dirtier, cheaper fuel.
That has posed problems because the ships are now gathering in a spot where the Navy conducts missile tests. It has also caused confusion over traffic flow.
Marine Exchange of Southern California executive director Dick McKenna met with mariners, biologists and military officials Friday in Ventura to discuss a possible solution.
