Photo of cabinet watching Osama raid was staged. There was no live feed!

Fake president fakes watching faked raid; what a sleazy, deviant group of felons!

Video: Was Photo Of Obama Watching The Raid Of Osama's Compound Staged?

Was this photo staged?

Whatever all these people are staring at ... it isn't the raid, but that's clearly the impression the Obama administration wants us to believe and it's clearly what John Brennan has said happened:

[...] Brennan described a "very tense" scene at the White House on Sunday, where Obama and intelligence officials gathered to monitor the military operation in real time. He wouldn't say whether or not they watched a video feed of the attack.
And according to The Telegraph, Leon Panetta, the head of the CIA, admitted yesterday that there was no live video footage of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound as further doubts emerged about the US version of events.
A photograph released by the White House appeared to show the President and his aides in the situation room watching the action as it unfolded. In fact they had little knowledge of what was happening in the compound.

In an interview with PBS, Mr Panetta said: "Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information."

"We had some observation of the approach there, but we did not have direct flow of information as to the actual conduct of the operation itself as they were going through the compound."

Mr Panetta also told the network that the US Navy Seals made the final decision to kill bin Laden rather than the president.

Little wonder Brennan was so far off in his statement and little wonder the White House's story of the attack has kept changing.

Here, Mark Levin is all over it:

I'm sure there's some plausible explanation other than the White House simply made up all it's different versions of what happened and staged the above photo just to make the public believe Obama played a bigger role than he actually did ... but at the moment I just can't think of one other than Leon Panetta outright lied and the folks in the photograph were actually watching the attack in real time as Brennan claims. However, this doesn't explain away Brennan's statement that there was a "'"very tense' scene at the White House on Sunday, where Obama and intelligence officials gathered to monitor the military operation 'in real time'"

And then there's this: According to CNN, even the photos of the dead bin Laden could be fake: Senators misled by likely fake bin Laden photos

Let me be clear, I have no doubt that bin Laden is dead. I just find it hard to believe that the White House's version of the events involving his killing and the president's role in it have much to do with the what actually happened. At this point, it appears that it was Leon Panetta that actually gave the authorization to kill OBL and the SEALS made the final decision on the ground, although I have little doubt that at some point the president had to make the politically gutsy call to authorize the mission in the first place.

Update: Politico reports that the photo of Obama's history-making speech was staged:

... the photos weren't from Obama's actual history-making speech. According to a Reuters blog post, the photos were taken after Obama's actual announcement, during a brief re-enactment minutes later.
Although it's not unusual for still cameras not to be allowed to photograph the actual event of a presidential speech, in the context of the top photo being staged it leaves the impression that if the WH didn't have a problem with staging a photo for a speech, it certainly wouldn't have a problem with staging a photo to make the prez look like he was watching the OBL mission in real time and was deeply involved in the ongoing events.
