We’ve allowed the misuse of these words for such a long time and now it’s coming back to haunt us.
Our presidents have extolled the virtues of democracy and the goal of exporting it to other countries when America is not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic with democratic principles. Democracy is nothing less than mob rule.
No where is that more evident than in the Palestinian parliamentary election where the terrorist organization Hamas won in a democratic and fair election. Do they have a democracy? Was the outcome in our interests?
There is no Democratic Party, there is a Democrat Party. Is the distinction important? Is the distinction it important in the Democracy example above?
It is incorrect to refer to a Democrat senator from NY as the Democratic senator from NY. It is incorrect to refer to a bill put forth by the Democrats as a Democratic bill. I cringe every time I hear this used incorrectly. Especially as the Democrat Party has been taken over progressively through the years by communist.
You may think I should have said liberals but here is another case of word confusion because the words communist, socialist, liberal, and progressive, can be used interchangeably. They are all the same!
